Located on gentle valley-side slopes, adjacent to a small torrent, the vineyard lies just north of Rome. The Gelso della Valchetta cantina covers 5 hectares, in the heart of the 'Parco di Veio' nature and archaeological park.
Despite its 'youth' the vineyard sinks its roots in ancient soils. Setting the scene for many a battle, pitting Estruscans against Romans for control of the river Tiber, the area is of great scenic, archaeological and natural interest.
The park features the splendid remains of Etruscan necopolises and settlements amid unspoilt flora and fauna.
